Room 301; Saturday Morning [09/21].
Even though there wasn't any chorin' to be done around Fandom, Wayne still typically got up fairly early, out of habit. Nothing to make a fuss over, just get up, check his hockeyfights.com, mebbe go have a smoke before digging up some breakfast, just like any other morning. This morning, however, was just a little bit different. Because this morning, when Wayne woke up, there was someone else in his bed.
Well, on his bed. Close enough. Either way, it wasn't every morning that you woke up with a weird magical cat-thing just sitting there, watching you and waiting for you to finally get out of your slumber.
"....how are ya now?" he asked Kyubey, with a nod, after a moment of just blinking to make sure that he wasn't imagining things and then sitting up in the bed.
"Good!" Kyubey answered back brightly. "And you?"
"Oh, not so bad," Wayne answered back, dedicatedly, and then paused, frowning, "'Cept for the weird magical cat-thing just sitting there, watchin' me sleep, of course."
Kyubey, naturally, didn't seem fazed at all. "I've been looking for you, Wayne."
"Oh, ya have, have ya?"
"Yes, because, you see, Wayne, you are the Chosen One. I've been sent here to send you on your way down the path to your Ultimate Destiny!"
"Oh, is that so?"
"Yes! Of course it is. Haven't you ever wondered about the mysterious birthmark you have right there, at the back of your neck, right underneath your collar?"
Wayne twisted a little, pulling at his shirt to confirm that, yup, yup, that was definitely a mysterious birthmark alright. He then turned back to Kyubey and considered him for a moment, and said, "Well. Pitter-patter. What's this destiny?"
"That," said Kyubey, "is for you to discover all on your own! I am just here to point you in the right direction, Chosen One! First, you must find the Sacred Amulet, and then that will lead you on your next step to fulfiling your Ultimate Destiny."
"So's....I gotta just go find this Amulet?"
"Yes."
"An' that'll lead me the ways I gotta go for the Ultimate Destiny thing?"
"Yes!" said Kyubey, prancing a little in place, out of either frustration or excitement, it was almost a little hard to tell.
"...you think there'll be much fightin'?" he asked, quirking a suspicious brow at Kyubey. "On this Path to my Ultimate Destiny thing?"
"Oh, most assuredly."
Wayne nodded, pulled back the rest of his blankets, turned his legs to the side of the bed and sat up, reaching into his front pocket (yes, it should be noted, he was already fully dressed), and pulled out a dart. "Then....pitter-patter," he said, placing the dart between his lips, "let's get at 'er."

because klutziness is totally a character trait okay, tripped on her walk down the hallway and banged head-first into Wayne's door."Ow! My nose!"

And blinked.
"Shuri?"
And, despite feeling like he could pretty much guess the answer, he asked, with quite a bit more genuine concern in it than the usual drawl, "How are ya now?"
no subject
So smooth, Shuri.

But he was pretty sure she might possibly be hurt, so, with a brow frowning as much as he was, he went to kneel beside her and mebbe move those hands out of the way so he could have a closer look. "You alright?" he asked. "Lemme see. What were you tryin' to do, anywhey? Knock on the door with yer face?"

So help him, if his Ultimate Destiny involved having to defeat evil carpets...
"Guess they'll do that sometimes," he noted,. "Probably...jus' gettin' tired of everyone walkin' all over it...."
Then, hands on his knees, pushed himself back up to standing, before offering out his hands so he could help Shuri up as well. "Don't look like it got too much damage on you, though."

"I'd have to say my day's about ten, fifteen percent better now, realleh," he said. "But if you have any more trouble with any of those carpets, Shuri, you be sure to let me know."
So he could...he didn't know, he'd punch some carpets, sure, why not?

She reached out to take his hands to get back up and held on just a little too long. "Big plans for the rest of the day?"
no subject
"Can confirm," he said, looking away briefly and barely holding back a nearly put-upon sigh. "I've got a Big Damn Capital-D Destiny to go fulfil, I s'pose..."
no subject
She bit her lip. "You don't have to marry a princess, right?"
Because she was Quite Ordinary, aside from the weird jewelry she'd found under a tree.
no subject
"Didn't think to ask," he added. "All's I know is that I've gotta find some amulet that'll show me the way and that there'll be fightin'."
You know.
The important stuff.

"Then I guess I wasn't half the hero I was cracked up to be," he decided, reasonably.
But it was kind of nice that she seemed to be a bit worried, there.

He'd gladly fight a lot worse than carpet if it meant protecting Shuri. And her face.
no subject
A looot.
"Well, I probably shouldn't keep you from your Destiny," she murmured. "Do you have any clues at all about where the amulet might be?"

A lot of shipwrecks happening this weekend, probably.
